Welcome to Turntable Bakery!


I'm Ellie, a baker and wannabe cook, mountain and river explorer, whiskey and bacon enthusiast, and mom to three dogs and a cat.

After growing up in the mountains of Vermont, I moved to Montana when I was eighteen. I spent most of my early twenties bouncing between my 20' travel trailer and my minivan, guiding whitewater rafts in the summers, ski patrolling in the winters, and then spent two winters living in my minivan with my cat traveling and snowboarding my way around the country. At age 26,  I decided to try to settle here in Alberton, Montana. One week later, I met the man of my dreams and have lived here full-time ever since!

When I realized that Alberton residents (all 400 of us) didn't have any fresh baked goods available locally, I figured I would see if anyone wanted to order fresh rolls and cookies for pickup at our farmers market. After a very successful first market, I knew something special was beginning. Turntable Bakery was born!

Now, three years later, I bake and distribute my goods year-round both privately and at farmers markets in Alberton and Missoula, Montana. I strive to use high quality ingredients and deliver the best goods possible, using old family recipes and recipes I have developed over years of testing and tweaking to get them just right.

As a huge fan of good food made simply, I hope that this website can be used as a resource for my customers across Western Montana, and as a kitchen companion for friends and family across the country.
